When it comes to limb difference or prosthetic limb charity organisations, there are so many options out there - so many organisations who are supporting people with limb differences in a wide range of ways - from finding friendship to finding new ways to live everyday life to the fullest, take part in new experiences, and more. This means that parents of kids with limb differences and adults with limb differences have lots of options when it comes to supporting their community. Reach Charity


Reach Charity is "a charity that provides support and information to parents and their children affected by upper limb differences in the UK & Ireland"Their website contains lots of useful information, including:


- Information on types of limb differences (arm & hand differences, amputation vs. genetic differences / illnesses etc.).

- Advice about starting school with a limb difference

- Regular local meet-ups ran by local coordinators across the UK.

LimbBo Foundation


LimbBo are a "charitable organisation bringing #limbdifferent children, young people and their families together"


They have divided their organisation into 3 sections:

-Offering support to children and families with limb differences

- Raise awareness about limb difference through various sources, from radio broadcasts to working with schools.

- Creating 3D printed assistive devices, including bike adaptations and drumstick attachments!

The IAmPossible Foundation


The IAMPOSSIBLE Foundation is a non-profit focused on increasing visibility, support, community and events for those with limb differences within the UK and worldwide. They are "fighting for a world where ability is not defined by an individual’s form or physical appearance".


The support they provide includes:

- Useful information and support for those with limb differences.

- Details on how to get involved with fundraising events such as the ‘Tough Mudder’ cross country obstacle courses.

- Podcasts that talk about limb difference, disability and inclusion

Positive Bones are known for "providing funding for specialist services & equipment" and "empowering those with limb differences to #livewithoutlimits


Positive bones can help you with:

- Applying for funding for those with limb differences who need equipment.

- Advice on how to put on successful fundraising events.

- Accessing support for those with limb differences and their families.

Lucky Fin Project


The Lucky Fin Project aims to "raise awareness and celebrate children, individuals, and families affected by limb differences."


They support parents around the world by linking them to medical information and resources, providing education on limb differences, hosting events and financially supporting efforts allowing children to attend specialised camps, obtain prosthetics, and to fund other organisations within the limb difference community.
